What We Do

The Office of Multicultural Affairs provides cultural programming and international student advising and exists as a campus-wide resource on cultural diversity issues. The office also serves as a support and resource for students from culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds.

How We Serve You

The Office of Multicultural Affairs helps students on their educational journey by:

  • Planning social and cultural events
  • Providing support to multicultural student clubs on campus
  • Enabling students to access campus resources
  • Serving as a liaison between students, faculty and staff (student advocacy)
  • Offering assistance with financial aid and scholarship applications
  • Offering college transfer assistance
  • Offering advising on issues that impact students’ attainment of their educational goals

Paying for College

There are various methods of paying for school. Please visit Financial Aid to learn about scholarships and financial aid at Inver Hills. Students may also access private scholarships through fastweb.com or minority student scholarships by visiting http://www.blackexcel.org/100minority.htm.

We have a number of multicultural clubs on campus that enhance student learning around diversity and interest in other cultures. These clubs also enable students to make connections with other students and to get involved in campus life. See a list of multicultural clubs.
