Student Employment services help students identify job openings and prepare for your job search by developing resumes and interviewing.
For Students
Working during college is a financial necessity for most of us but is also a career necessity. Increasingly employers are looking for people who have relevant work experience. We can help find the employment opportunities you will be proud to have on your resume!
The Student Employment Office serves students and graduates by providing
professional assistance for part-time and full-time off-campus and life-time
post-graduation employment.
On Campus Employment
As a student employee on campus, you can work on a flexible schedule, network, and make money for college expenses.
On-campus employment (work-study) is now being coordinated through the financial
aid office and work-study openings can be found at the following web site.
http://depts.inverhills.edu/jobs. To apply for Student Employment openings on campus you must apply for Financial Aid, although you do not need to receive aid.
Off Campus Employment
Local area employers recruit Inver Hills
students for their open positions. Students may view descriptions of job
openings posted on the Inver Hills Community College web site.
www.inverhillsjobs.com.
Job leads are also posted in job books and on a bulletin board outside of the
Student Employment Office. In addition, five internet access computers link job
seekers to current open positions. Job search assistance is also available
through the Student Employment Office.
For Graduates
Job-seeking skills workshops, resume preparation, interview skills training, and
individual assistance with an employment specialist are available. Resumes can
posted online for employers at
www.inverhillsjobs.com.
There are no costs for these services.
