In the IHCC Counseling and Career Development Center, we have several transfer resources to assist you.
Professional Counselors
Counselors help students clarify educational goals, identify program options, make decisions about degrees and select courses that fulfill a student's degree requirements, transfer plans and educational goals. In addition, counselors also help students monitor their academic progress.
Transfer Guides
More than sixty guides are available for Minnesota colleges and some out-of-state colleges. The guides highlight which Inver Hills courses students should take to transfer to another college. Guides highlight general education requirements as well as specific major requirements.
Equiv
ncy Guides
There are course equivalency guides, which are available for many colleges, listing how each IHCC course transfers to a specific college.
Internet and Computer Resources
There are a number of educational planning resources available to students in the Career Development Center. For example, the Minnesota Transfer Web site provides students quick access to campus Web sites throughout Minnesota. Minnesota's iSeek Web site provides information about educational options, as well as career and employment information.
College Representatives
Representatives from four-year colleges visit campus regularly. The visits give students interested in transferring an opportunity to learn more about the colleges. The IHCC Student Bulletin, which is published weekly, announces upcoming Campus Visits.
Additional Resources
Current catalogs, scholarship information, application forms, and college files are available to help students with their transfer to in-state and out-of-state colleges.
