Degree Program Description & Curriculum Purpose

This degree program is designed to prepare students for the dynamic career field of network technology. Jobs in this field include titles such as network technician, network analyst, network administrator, and security specialist. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, this occupational group is expected to grow by approximately 134% between 2002 and 2012. This recently redesigned program is aligned high-demand industry certifications like Cisco Certified Network Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Security Plus, and the highly regarded Certified Information Systems Security Professional exam, which can be taken after securing work experience in the field.
