Personal Branding in 3 Steps: Re-inventing Yourself in the Digital World

Social Media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) is to the early 21st century

what the telegraph was a century earlier. But the Boomer generation has

been slow to embrace it for a variety of reasons.

This introductory, hands-on class is designed specifically to help Baby

Boomers and others in career or life transition create a personal brand

identity utilizing Social Media. In a computer lab classroom setting,

participants will learn how to create their own Social Media presence

(Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Wordpress) using a strategic, 3-step method:

1.) Define, 2.) Plan, 3.) Execute.

The instructor will guide each participant through completion of the 3-steps.

At the end of the class, each participant will have their own accounts on

Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, as well as a personal blog on Wordpress.

The second class focuses on the ins and outs of exploiting your Social Media presence

via a targeted, coordinated marketing campaign designed to generate

networking and income opportunities. Participants will learn, via case

studies and other examples, the latest trends in viral marketing including

how to incorporate multimedia content to generate buzz about yourself or

your company.
