Quality

Six Sigma is the philosophy and science of reducing costs and improving customer satisfaction through statistical and lean methods. In the current economic climate annual reports of corporations using Six Sigma have noted millions of dollars in savings through application of this improvement model. Along with cost reduction, Six Sigma sets the stretch goal of improving quality to a level of only 3.4 defects per million opportunities. Born at Motorola Corporation in the mid 1980’as and now widely used by major corporations worldwide, Six Sigma has become “the way we do things here” in many successful companies. Employ the powerful lessons of Six Sigma and LEAN.

Lean focuses on the identification and elimination of waste to create a continuous flow of materials and information through the value stream to meet customer demand. Based on the successes of Toyota and other highly efficient firms, Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques have helped companies improve quality, delivery, lead and cycle times, reduce cost and increase cash flow.
