EMT 24 Hour Refresher/EMT Practical Exam
This course is designed to enhance, review, and introduce new skills to the current certified Emergency Medical Technician "EMT". With completion of passing written and practical tests along with either state or national continuing education requirements, students will receive their new state or national registry certification. The textbook is not included in the price of this class. If you have a current text, you may use it in class. The price for the state recertification testing is not included in the tuition cost.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this class participants will be able to understand:
- The roles and responsibilities of the EMT.
- Respiratory and circulatory systems.
- Wounds, bleeding and shock.
- Musculoskeletal injuries.
- Nervous system and head injuries.
- Medical emergencies.
- Poisons, bites and stings.
- Childbirth and pediatric emergencies.
- Behavioral problems.
- Environmental emergencies.
