Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Refresher

The ACLS concept is a systematic approach to dealing with people experiencing a cardiopulmonary emergency. This course includes defibrillation, cardiac pacing, IV techniques; arrhythmia, airway adjuncts pharmacology in accordance with the 2006 American Heart Association Guidelines. Tuition includes materials and textbook which will be mailed prior to the beginning of class.

Objectives:

Demonstrate the ability to manage a patient’s airway.
Recognize the core conditions of ACLS.
Explain the treatments for the core conditions of ACLS.
Demonstrate the use of electrical therapy for the treatment of the core conditions in ACLS.
Explain the why, when, how and precautions for the pharmacology core of ACLS.
Demonstrate the leadership and participation skills involved in the ACLS Megacode.
