Description:
The Internet Marketing/Web 2.0 Certificate offers
participants a carefully sequenced series of three-hour
workshops that, combined with individual feedback on
their work, will enable them to:
• Gain an entrepreneurial perspective and understanding
of applicable e-commerce business models to best
determine which model(s) match particular
products/services to the appropriate audience.
• Utilize an array of digital media tools and
distribution channels such as Podcasts, video, blogs,
email blasts and other interactive Web applications to
create and deliver content to targeted audiences.
Evaluate which distribution methods meet specific
campaign needs and integrate products/services using
that methodology.
• Understand website design principles (Best Practices)
and available Web-based advertising vehicles including:
banner ads, organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO),
Pay Per Click (PPC) and Affiliate Marketing. Learn how
to incorporate these principles to build brand and drive
revenue generation.
• Explore trends in Internet marketing such as Mobile
advertising and place-based marketing (Digital Signage
networks, etc.) that facilitate reaching mass audience
Out-of-Home.
• Make informed strategic decisions based on critical
analysis of Web metrics and customer data in order to
influence perceptions and behavior.
• Exploit the ability of the Internet and Web 2.0
technologies to develop comprehensive campaigns for the
global marketplace.
