Medical Terminology I

This is an overview of medical terminology, giving the person beginning a health career or a person who wishes a refresher the basics of learning terminology. The seminar is not intended to be sufficient knowledge to replace a credit course of terminology.

Objectives:

  • To become familiar with the importance of medical language at work and for personal use.
  • To learn the importance of prefixes and suffixes in understanding medical words.
  • To study anatomical structure and diagnoses of the musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal.
