Basic 2008 CPT Coding

Efficient processing of insurance claims requires complete and accurate coding by personnel in physicians' offices and hospital out-patient departments. This program is designed for persons beginning the CPT coding process and those wishing a refresher course. It is necessary to have the coding manual. Each participant needs a  2008 coding manual - please bring it to class! Lunch and handouts provided.

Objectives

• Identify the reasons for coding with the Current Procedural Terminology
• Learn when and how to use modifiers.
• Develop coding skills in use of CPT 2008 methodology.
