Telephone Services
Basic services
All campus office spaces have a telephone for on-campus, local, and toll-free calls. On-campus extensions can be reached by dialing the last three digits of the number. Dial 9 to get a line for off-campus calls.
The telephone system provides a number of features. An instruction sheet for telephone system features is available from John Schoeppner.
9-911 for emergencies
To report an emergency, dial 9 to get an outside line and then 911.
Long distance calling
Long distance calling is restricted to college business only. If you dial a number that will incur long-distance charges, the telephone system will play a steady tone. If you have a long-distance access code, enter it when you hear the tone and your call will be completed. Long-distance access codes do not work with international calls. Long-distance access codes and arrangements for international calling can be made with Larry Margolis, Vice President of Auxiliary Services.
Fax Services
The college has a fax machine (651-450-8679) for general fax sending and receiving. The machine is located in the Administration suite in the Liberal Arts building. Each instructional building has a multi-function printer/scanner/fax device near the secretary for low volume fax sending needs.
Voice Mail
Each employee is provided with a 20-minute capacity voice mailbox that can be managed from on or off campus. Dial extension 300 on campus or 651-450-8345 when off campus to access the voice mail system and your personal voice mailbox.
The voice mail system provides many features. The most common features include a general greeting (usually your name and title), a message for when call isn’t answered, a message if the line is already engaged, message forwarding, and message reply. An instruction sheet for voicemail features can be requested from John Schoeppner.
Audio conferencing
The campus telephone system can support audio conferencing for up to 6 people. For audio conferences of more then 6 people, special service arrangements and costs are required. Assistance with audio conferencing services can be requested from John Schoeppner.
