Creating a Cryptic Password
You Can Remember

A good way to create a password that will meet the complexity rules and still be one you can remember without writing down is to create an acronym out of a sentence that is meaningful to you.  For example...

Let's say you've always wanted to be an astronaut. The sentence

"I am going to be an astronaut"

would assemble and cryptic string of characters and make a good password:

Iagtbaa

Adding a number, like your birth month (e.g., 7 for July) would make it even more difficult to guess or crack:

Iagtbaa7

Passwords for IHCC network accounts must be:

• eight (8) characters long
• include both UPPER and lower case letters
• include a non-alpha character like a number
• can't include your real name or your username
