Computing Services: Websites (employees only)

College Web Site

The content and organization of the college’s website (http://www.inverhills.edu) is coordinated and managed by the Marketing Department. Inquires and requests for additions to the home page should be directed to Charlie Cheesebrough, Director Marketing and Recruitment.

Faculty Web Sites

Each instructor can request a website to support their college-related work. The college provides Microsoft FrontPage on college-owned computers for creating and editing web sites and pages, but any HTML editor can be used to create and edit web pages.

FrontPage can use the publish feature to copy web pages to the web server when they are ready for public viewing. The Secure FTP service is the easiest means for adding or editing web pages if FrontPage isn't going to be used.

If you already maintain a website elsewhere and just want a link to that site on the college web server, just send your request and the target URL to Tech Support (support@inverhills.edu) and a redirect can be set up.

Departments

The main college website contains basic information about college departments. Departments may choose to create and maintain a more comprehensive department website. With the additional of web development staff, the procedures associated with creating and maintaining department web content is being reviewed to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Please contact Mark Peterson, Director of Academic Technology and Computing Services for additional information.
