Getting Started

Signing In
We require that every student sign in on the Math center's main computer at the beginning of each visit.  This is necessary to keep track of the number of students who use the Math Center.  Some instructors also request that students sing in on his or her clipboard for course credit based on time spent in the Math Center.  If assistance regarding where or how to sign in is needed, just ask.

Homework Help
Students may study and work on math homework while in the Math Center.  Students can also work with math software in the Math Center's Computer Lab.  Students may choose to work independently or with a small group.  There are a variety of work areas available to suit the needs of all.  Several on-duty staff members are available as needed.  A student can simply raise a hand or approach a staff member in order to receive help.  Some math instructors' offices are adjacent to the Math Center.  Occasionally, an instructor may be in the Math Center working with a student, but not on duty.  Be sure to look for staff members wearing the orange "May I Help You" badge to know who is on duty and available to give assistance.  Check posted schedules to see when a particular instructor will be available either in his or her office or in the Math Center.
