JOB AUDIT PACKAGE
If you have been asked to have one of your positions audited by one of your employees, need a vacant position audited, or need to create a new position, then you will need to follow the following process. All forms can be found on the Supervisor's Corner:
COMPLETE A PAR FORM. THE FORM CAN BE FOUND AT PAR Form
A PAR form must be filled out with the current classification (for existing positions) and the proposed classification (for existing and new position. If you are not sure what an appropriate classification would be, please contact Human Resources or see the DOER classification information at www.doer.state.mn.us/stf-bltn/jobs2/classif.asp for assistance.
The PAR must also state the current employment conditions of the position - part-time (with FTE), fulltime, hours of work, shift, etc.
You MUST indicate the cost center that funds this position.
PROVIDE AN UPDATED AND SIGNED POSITION DESCRIPTION
PROVIDE AN UPDATED ORGANIZATION CHART SHOWING ALL DEPARTMENTAL STAFF BY STATE OF MN CLASSIFICATION AND FTE.
PROVIDE A LETTER OF JUSTIFICATION EXPLAINING THE REASON FOR THE NEW POSITION AND/OR ANY SIGNIFICANT CHANGES TO THE POSITION OVER THE PAST 6-12 MONTHS.
IF THE POSITION IS SUPERVISORY, YOU MUST COMPLETE A SUPERVISORY QUESTIONNAIRE FOUND AT Supervisory Status Questionnaire
Once the PAR is completed and an updated/signed position description, an updated organizational chart and a letter of justification are attached, it must be sent to the appropriate signature authorities for approval. This form should arrive at HR ONLY after the audit package is complete and all of the appropriate signatures have been obtained.
