What is the best career planning advice you have heard?
Career planning is not finding one perfect job to pursue -- it is a lifetime of making good choices and pursuing opportunities that fit your interests and values.
If you could give one piece of advice to an incoming IHCC student, what would it be?
Get to know your instructors and fellow students - build a support network on campus.
What was a defining moment in your professional career and how did it impact you?
It was not getting a job offer that I was really counting on. It made me realize you can not assume anything and you have to constantly prove yourself to your peers and supervisors.

Vacationing with family in Yellowstone, Glacier and Mt. Rushmore
Where did you grow up?
Atwater. It is a town of 956 people in west central Minnesota. I graduated from a high school class of 48.
